学术支持中心 & 浓缩 partnered with Distance Education to provide online tutoring through 导师.com. Online tutoring is available 24/7 for many 阿卜苏课程. Students access online tutoring through the "resources" tab in D2L by clicking 导师.com 24/7. 导师.com does not provide writing tutoring. 大学政策和程序

Current 电子mg官方网站 and Middle College undergraduate students can receive free tutoring from 学术支持中心 & 浓缩 for 课程 they are enrolled in.

All tutoring appointments are individual, one-on-one sessions. 我们不提供团体服务 appointments unless approved by the 导师 协调员.

  • Bring sample problems, textbook, notes, calculator, syllabus, access to D2L, etc.

  • Be responsible for your learning: seek help throughout the course not just the week 考试前.
  • Do not bring your homework and expect the tutor to give you answers
  • Attend classes and write down questions/concepts you do not understand so you can 在您访问CASE时获得帮助.

  • To schedule an appointment, you can schedule an appointment by calling 931-221-6550, 发邮件 case@阿卜苏.edu, or visiting the Marks Building, room 124.
  • Students may schedule an in-person appointment or an online Zoom appointment.
  • 辅导 sessions can be scheduled for one hour or 30-minute appointments.
  • Students may schedule up to five appointments per week.
  • Students are expected to come prepared and on time for the tutoring session with a textbook, syllabus, notes, and any other necessary materials.
  • 导师 are not permitted to complete quizzes or tests with or for students. 导师 can assist students with questions they have about homework or online assignments.
  • Students who need to cancel a scheduled tutoring appointment should do so at least 提前24小时. If a student cancels an appointment on the day of the appointment, the appointment will be marked as a no show.
    • A no show can be removed if the result of an emergency circumstance (e.g.,死亡 the family, a student’s serious injury or incapacitating illness)
  • 学术支持中心 & 浓缩 does not tolerate lateness. 如果你是 more than ten minutes late for a tutoring session, you will be marked as a no show for that appointment, and the tutor you were scheduled to work with will move on to 另一个任务.
  • If a student receives two no show appointments in one semester, the student’s account 将被禁用. The student will need to speak with the CASE Director or 导师 协调员 重新激活帐户.
  • To cancel an appointment, you can call 931-221-6550, email case@阿卜苏.edu, or visit the Marks Building, room 124 to speak with a lab attendant.
  • 学术支持中心 & 浓缩 is a distraction free environment.
    • Cell phones should be silenced and kept away during tutoring sessions.

    • Please do not bring any guests with you to your appointment.
    • Please use language and exhibit behavior that is appropriate for a public academic, 教育空间.
    • During your session, be engaged in the process and be respectful of your peers and 所有CASE员工.
  • 如果你是 belligerent, uncooperative, or disrespectful of the CASE employees, you will be referred to the 导师 协调员. We reserve the right to end tutoring sessions early and refuse service; we will not tolerate any harassment or inappropriate behavior. Students who are dismissed from their tutoring sessions early may have their account 禁用.
  • Please respect the privacy of our tutors and do not contact them directly outside 你的辅导课程.
  • For online tutoring, if a student is found sharing a video or screen shot of an online appointment via any electronic means, they will be asked to remove the video, and 他们的帐户将被禁用.
  • For online tutoring, students must be appropriate in the language, dress, and content 他们的在线会话. If a tutor is made to feel uncomfortable during a session, they will have the right to turn off the video, terminate the session, and/or report 的受监护者. Depending on the severity of the offense, students may have their account 禁用.
